Description

woo!!! so this is my commission example for a soft shaded chibi!! <33

I don't yet have a price, mainly because when ever I make a price, it always seems to be too high, so I would like your opinion.

if youd like, please name your price in a comment (even if youre not interested in buying one)
all I ask is that youre honest with your pricing, not cheep. I will be using the most frequent price as my new chibi price. so please don't just say $1 because you don't feel like paying a lot.
I put a lot of work into these things, and they all take time. and half the time I get paid less that minimum wage on almost all of my drawings. how would you like to work at your job and only be paid 5$ an hour for your hard work? it gets frustrating at times

so with that said. if youd like to give me a price, please be honest! thank you!

Hi! This is a really nice chibi! About the price.. Well, that would depend on how much time and effort you put into these. If you're a slow drawer I'd ask for more. Since you're not a professional illustrator(?) and you're only doing this as a hobby the price would of course be lower, but I'd ask somewhere around 10 dollars an hour. Some of the commission prices in here are so ridiculously small (and to me that 5-6 dollars per chibi sounds little too) that I can't believe it! As a graphic design student it really makes me feel bad that illustrating is not appreciated more... And when you price too low (even unproffessional works), it reflects back upon the whole field and makes the clients think that they should get everything with a low price, from everyone. I think around 8 dollars would be an okay price for one like this. And 10 for more detail. But that would once again depend on whether I estimated the time you take on these correctly or not. :'D But seriously, even 15 wouldn't be too much. Think about it yourself and put a price on your works that they deserve. Don't draw for anything less than what you'd feel good drawing for.
