Okay, so I'm part of the 5% of the world that didn't like Black and White - and no not just because of the "New Pokemon" (But that did have something to do with it).

When it came out, I bought, just like every other Pokemon generation.  Initially, I remember being really excited about the changing seasons in the game (I actually wouldnt mind them bring that back).  But about 5 minutes into the game, I was ready to throw it at a wall.
I wasn't overly crazy about the starters.  And I actually pulled a number out of hat to pick one.  I planned on boxing it as soon as could (which never actually happened).
In addition to the starters, I wasn't overly fond of the rest of gen V Pokemon either.  (And no I'm not one of those "Gen I was the only good Gen with all the best Pokemon!!")  When I saw them, I just didn't have that "OMG I want that one!" type of attitude towards it. (You should have seen me the first time I saw Tyrantrum.  I lost my mind).  The one's I did catch I didn't really do much with (I thought they all leveled up really really slow - like I had to train before some of the beginning gyms for like hours trying to train up my team - I eventually just said screw it and only leveled up my starter (Which I Hate doing!  In every other game, I give equal amounts of attention to my whole team!)  Again, I felt like it took forever to level up the Pokemon, but it also could have been my complete disinterest in the game that made it seem like it took so much longer.

I didn't care for the evil group - N I liked I guess, he had a cool design, but that was about the extent of it.  I couldn't really wrap my head around the whole "We're going to free all the Pokemon and you shouldn't use them to fight!!  But I'm going to use the Pokemon I caught to fight you to get what I want"  .__. )  Now as far as evil teams go, Team Aqua/Magma are my favorite.  Team Rocket is classy, but even their motives as an evil team were pretty lame, but B&W's just seemed kinda bleh in my opinion.  Plus, trying to make sure creatures are free doesn't really feel like an evil team vibe.  Evil Team: "We're going to free creatures and make sure they're happy!!"  Me: "Oh so you're good guys who are going to help me out?"  Evil Team: "Nah we're evil"  Me: "...mhmm...how?"  So, that also decreased my interest in the game.  Plus, I never quite figured out what N's involvement with the whole thing was (I was getting annoying with how much talking their was, so I'm pretty sure I just smashed the A button while I watched TV - that and I never actually finished the game).

I did like the gym leaders, and the different elite 4 gym types (Which I never got to), and the cities and towns were pretty cool too.

Probably what I hate the most though, were your 'Friends" my god, they were so annoying!!! I felt like every time I got into a new town, they had to stop me and talk to me, and show me something.  Exploring a new town is half the fun!! If you show me everything against my will, I'm 1. not going to like the town as much 2. hate you even more and 3. deliberately go out of my way to avoid what you were trying to show me!).  Usually there are tutorials and what not in the beginning of games, that's fine with me, but it felt like it continued the whole time! (I got all the way through Victory Cave, which was a nightmare and a half - then I stopped playing).  It felt like I was constantly in the beginning of the game and never really got to do things on my own.

I haven't played a lot of the old games in a while, but aren't you supposed to get the legendary before you get to the Elite Four?  I never caught my legendary which I assumed I got after the Elite Four since I couldn't find a way to get it.  But again, I could have missed that when I was smashing A to get through a conversation.

I usually play games once just to get through them.  Once I get a good feel for it, I usually start over and play it a little more seriously.  Mainly because I'm usually excited to see how a game progresses so I rush through everything.  But I have never finished this game, and I never went back to give it another try I honestly just had no interest in it all.

Now, when I first got the game, I pretty hated all the new Pokemon, but a lot of them have actually grown on me quite a lot, like the coffin one, that I'm not even going to try and spell.  So overall, the Pokemon weren't really the problem - However, I wasn't thrilled about the only Pokemon being in the game were gen V.  I think they did the same thing in Gen 3 and I wasn't thrilled about it then either.  I did like Gen 3 Pokemon better though, which probably helped.  - in both 3 and 5, it was annoying to constantly run into the same Pokemon over and over and over.

So when B&W 2 game out, I was like  "why....WHY"  I then realized that everyone and their mother loved B&W and were losing their minds when the 2 part came out.  I just tried to pretend the games never existed.

I recently saw a post saying B&W was the best generation, and I still can't wrap my head around that.  So, I figured I'd try to ask and see what you guys think!

Why'd you like B&W and B&W2.  What made it such a great game to you?
Or, if you didn't like them, what made you dislike them.

I'm honestly looking for reasons to like this game so I can give myself some motivation to try and play it again.  So I'd really love to hear your opinions on why you liked it.  I probably missed something important since I wasn't reading the text, or missed the point of the game (I'm pretty oblivious - I'm still not ever sure what Team Rockets motives were...was it to just take over the world?).
So that is my incredibly huge rant on why I don't particularly care for Black and White.

..Was Chandelure in this gen?  Cuz I love that Pokemon.

I actually really loved Black and White. It was easier for me to level up because 1. the egg was handed to you at some point in the game instead of having to chase after like 5 billion Chanseys lol and 2. the Audinos also made it really easy to level up to a certain extent without making the game EASY. I also really liked the designs of the towns, they were always pretty to me.

Surprisingly I think I liked BW2 even more than the original though. I'm not even sure why, I think the plot was a little more interesting and I'd played the regular BW first so I had gotten the hang of it. Either way you go, I do think BW is my favorite out of the ones I've played (I don't have a 3DS so I haven't played X/Y or anything past that).

Also Oshawott is my favorite starter aside from Charmander now bc he is so cute like I can't even with the Oshawott
